AMG History

In 1985, newlyweds Paul and May Gayle Mengert started Association Management Group (AMG) with a single mission to provide excellence in the property management industry. AMG’s property management business began with three community Associations in Greensboro. From that modest start, the organization has expanded from Greensboro to Charlotte, Winston-Salem, Raleigh, Greenville-Spartanburg and ultimately throughout the Carolinas. And are we proud to say that our three original communities continue to be part of the AMG family.

This growth has been based on attracting consummate managers, administrators and maintenance professionals who have developed industry-leading approaches to community property management. AMG’s team has been recognized as one of the best in the country.  AMG leaders have twice been tapped as President of the North Carolina Community Association Institute, and several of our company executives serve on university and community Boards, municipal authorities, and legislative initiative committees, while also teaching homeowner and manager training programs throughout the country. In addition, AMG has even been called upon by the U.S. State Department to assist in housing reform initiatives worldwide which pertain to condominiums.

AMG works every day to leverage this expertise for the benefit of its clients.
